One dashboard
A lot of schools run fee collection out of a spreadsheet and a receipt book, alongside a physical attendance register that gets tallied by hand at month-end. Reconciling who has actually paid against what the bank shows is a manual, error-prone job for the office accountant.
Parent communication tends to be just as fragmented — circulars go home with students and often don't arrive, while the office maintains separate WhatsApp groups per section that someone has to update by hand every time there's an announcement.
This isn't about one specific school; it's the starting point for most schools that haven't digitized yet, regardless of board or size.
Here’s how a school in this situation typically sets things up. These are real modules in the product, walked through for this profile — not a customer’s account of what happened:
Centralized student, class, and section records with guardian details and document storage, replacing scattered admission files.
Fee heads and structures defined once per class and academic year; payments recorded against a mode — UPI, card, net banking, Razorpay, cash, cheque, or DD — each with its own reference on a numbered receipt for the office's reconciliation.
Daily attendance marked in the portal or via a connected biometric device — one record feeds both the register and what parents see in the app.
Announcements sent once and delivered by email and posted in the parent app, instead of updating each class group by hand.
The accountant, class teacher, and school admin each get access scoped to their role from day one, not shared logins.
A daily view of fee collection and attendance for the school's leadership, built from the same underlying records.
Typical pacing — every school’s rollout is a little different.
Step 1 — Import records
Student, class, and fee-structure data is imported so nothing has to be re-typed from the old spreadsheets.
Step 2 — Staff walkthrough
Office staff and teachers see how fee entry, attendance marking, and announcements work in the modules they'll use daily.
Step 3 — Parent rollout
Parents are introduced to the app, where they see fee dues, receipts, and attendance and get announcements by email, as soon as your office records them.
Step 4 — Go live
The school runs fee collection and attendance through the platform going forward, with paper as a fallback only until everyone's comfortable.
Fees
A head start on reconciliation, not an automatic one
Because every payment already carries its mode and a reference on the receipt, the office spends less time manually matching a bank statement against a spreadsheet of names — the matching itself is still done by the office, not the system.
Attendance
One record, not two
Whether attendance is marked on the portal or on a biometric device, it's the same record — there's no separate tally to reconcile against a register at month-end.
Communication
One announcement, every group
A circular created once in the Communication module goes out by email and appears in the parent app at the same time, instead of being retyped into a dozen separate WhatsApp groups.
Access
Everyone sees only their lane
Role-based access means the accountant sees fee records, the teacher sees their class, and the admin sees the school-wide view — without shared logins or over-permissioned accounts.
