What we intend to build next

Roughly in this order, with no dates attached. Please do not choose a platform on the strength of anything in this list — choose it on the list above.

Per-role permission checks on every API module, not only the ones hardened so far. This is the first thing we work on.
Automated backups on a schedule, and a self-service data export a school can run itself.
Email that actually goes out from the portal — announcements, fee updates and exam notices, on top of the delivery log and templates already written.
Push notifications to the parent app, so an absence or a due date reaches a phone that is not open.
PDF report cards, fee receipts, payslips and ID cards.
Online fee payment for parents, with a real gateway checkout and automatic confirmation.
Bulk student import from a spreadsheet, and student document upload in the portal.
Class promotion at the end of the academic year.
An audit log, and two-factor authentication on staff accounts.
Goods receipts and issue vouchers in the portal, closing the procure-to-stock loop.
WhatsApp in the portal, and SMS sending — the parts that are written but unreachable today.
